He must reconstruct the life of Amelia from the beginning. Amelia Garayoa was marked by different men in her life: the businessman James Carranza, the French revolutionary Pierre Comte, the American journalist James Albert and a Nazi military doctor, Max Von Schumann. One of the best things about the book is the journey through different stages in European history, such as the Spanish republic, the fall of the Berlin Wall, the Second World War and the dark years of the Cold War. But, what I think it's wrong with the novel is that all the characters have the same treatment. All of them "speak" in the same way, it doesn't matter if they are young, old, women, men, upper class or low class. There isn't any difference at all and this doesn't sound believeble. If I have to remark another handicap, it will be the length of the novel: 500 pages is too much. The author, Julia Navarro, as a journalist, should know that brevety is a must.
